Mumbai, India, July 16, 2020 – Visa (NYSE: V), the global leader in digital payments technology, today announced the appointment of Sujai Raina as Vice President & Head of Business Development for India. Joining Visa’s leadership team in the region, Sujai will contribute to Visa’s business strategy formulation and drive profitability and performance of clients and of Visa’s business in India.

Prior to joining Visa, Sujai was Head of Cards & Payments at Commercial Bank of Dubai, one of the largest banks in the UAE. He brings a wealth of knowledge to Visa with over 20 years of experience in a diverse set of roles spanning sales & distribution, product development, customer lifecycle management and business development. He has worked with leading local and multinational organizations including Citibank, HDFC Bank, Aegon Life Insurance and Mashreq.
Sujai’s rich experience in varied roles makes him well positioned to lead development and delivery of Visa’s value propositions to its clients. At Visa, he will also be responsible for developing strategic relationships with decision makers and lead a team of professionals to align delivery of Visa’s global capabilities with client priorities.

Sujai will relocate to Mumbai for this role. He is an alumnus of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He is also an avid traveler and is passionate about movies and movie trivia.
