Sharma, CEO, QuickForex shares insight about his venture and future goals.
venture?
Sharma: Well I won’t
call it an inspiration but there was this constant need of easy Travelling that
kept me motivated and over involved to find a solution to it. I checked with a
lot of agencies for the same but none were having everything in one platter to
serve. My father already had a Currency Exchange business, so I knew all basics
of it since my early years. When I discussed my interests with my father with
the solutions in hand he was surprised and immediately thought of getting this
started.

Sharma: QuickForex
was established in 2015 as an E-commerce website. The reason that I decided to
make the company digital was because of the growing trends of Internet and
reach and availability of new media. An online process is one which can be
accessed by any individual at any time anywhere. Money is also such a necessity
which can be needed at any time anywhere. Therefore I decided to pick up this
online venture so that it becomes easily accessible to all.

that Forex is not the only sector that we deal in, that is just the beginning
of the complete travelling solutions we’re having. Any person who wants to
Travel or wishes to send Money abroad whether for Business/ personal purposes
can reach us. People who are looking to for Medical Treatments, Education or
Leisure abroad are our potential customers. We have all things anyone would
require in terms of Travel, plus we keep up with trends so in case there’s some
new stuff gaining popularity we look out for ways of including them.
Sharma: The journey
so far has been very exciting. We have faced a lot of ups and downs. From
struggling to get a single investor, we have now reached a point where we are
dealing in transactions leading up to 1 crore every day. We have reached many
breaking points and have also witnessed high-achievements points. So yeah, you
can say that it has been one hell of a roller-coaster ride!
to day professional life, if any?
Sharma: I guess I
faced some of the biggest challenges during those initial months. It was hard
getting funding. Many were not even ready to entertain our proposal. Nobody was
interested in investing in a currency exchange unit and to top that ours was an
E-commerce initiative. The only reason I stood up after each time I was pushed
down was because I was utterly dedicated to this project. I just kept saying to
myself that “if it was easier then everybody would’ve been doing it”. My parent’s support was a huge boost for me at
that time.
Sharma: I practically
started this company single handedly in 2015. However over a mere span of a
little more than a year, we have now managed to become a team of some 25
people. And I must add that I have been very lucky in terms of gaining team
members. They are some very hard working and intellectual people.
Sharma: Currently we
are working on branching out our offices. We’ve already started our regional
offices in Delhi, and then we would be spreading over Pan-India. Gradually our
aim is to establish ourselves as a global brand.
