Sakshi Vij, Founder and CEO of Myles |
Please tell us more about yourself?
Vij: I began my
career with Finoble Advisors, working in the field of new business
opportunities. I joined Carzonrent (India) Pvt. Ltd (CIPL) in 2007 as a part of
its marketing team. A driving force behind the success of various CIPL brands,
I then founded Myles as a self-drive mobility service under CIPL in 2013.
issues of strategy, driving performance improvement, change management,
organization building and human capital development. My skills and industry
acumen saw me quickly rise through the ranks at CIPL to become an Executive
Director, where my main responsibilities lie in establishing new businesses and

oversee cash flow management, product vision, team building, investor
management, brand management and corporate development. My educational
background and professional engagements have paved the way for a successful stint
with Myles. I hold a PG Diploma from SP Jain Centre of Management, and MDP

Who is your biggest influence in life?
Vij: My parents have
influenced me the most in life. Professionally, I take a lot of characteristics
from my father. He has been a mentor to me as well, because of all his
experience in the mobility space.
What challenges do you face in your day to day professional life, if any?
Vij: I think the
biggest challenge for any Entrepreneur today is the inability to be at multiple
spaces. As an Entrepreneur, opportunity can come knocking from various doors.
The ability to find enough time to explore all doors is a challenge sometimes.
Where do you want to see yourself in next 5 years down the line?
Vij: I would want to
see Myles as the brand that has helped people give up the need to buy cars.
This would eventually lead to far lesser congestion in Indian cities. As a result
of all this, I would see myself seeking more ideas to change the mobility
landscape in India.
What is your message to the readers on ‘International Women’s Day’?
Vij: It would be
lovely to reach a time when International Women’s Day is not recognized only
for the inequalities that exist in gender issues in the world. To me, this day
celebrates the individuality as well as the common goals of women. I do however
believe that it is now time for successful women from all spheres to reach out
to the less privileged or less aware women around us to help them build a
better future for themselves.
