Workspace
is personal to all and it is where your employees spend maximum of their day.
It is important to ensure this space has a positive aura. Personalising the
space, having enough flexibility in management, ensuring everyone has time-out
to use during their workday and keeping an active and interesting dialogue open
amongst colleagues is a great way to ensure your team is happy, motivated and
active. It is also essential to keep your team motivated with transparent
goals. Mapping their progress and way on top of the ladder also assists in
keeping your team focused and motivated.

Having a space to relax:
Work
should be enjoyable for all, after all you spend most of your time at work with
your colleagues in a setting. However, it is important to have the right
balance of work and play at office. The space one works at should be
personalised and comfortable.
Open door policy:
The
open-door policy is what works best in today’s work scenario. When you enlist a
team of experts in your team to take your brand and its vision forward, it is
important to ensure they have the means to reach out to seniors and management
in a convenient and comfortable setting. An open-door policy ensures your
employees feel like they are part of the team and larger picture as well as
enables work to move forward in a quicker and more efficient manner. It is also
important is to ensure the female workforce within an organisation is
encouraged and made to feel comfortable and safe at work. There should be
special efforts taken to ensure this at all organisations of any level.
Work station
personalization:
Since
everyone spends maximum amount of their day at work. It is a good practice to
enable them to personalize their work station. Pictures of family and friends,
personal stationary and other personalized keepsakes assist in bringing out a
little bit of everyone’s personality at their work desk.

Encouraging breaks:
Breaks
during the day help keep the mind fresh and active. It gives space for more
ideas and creativity and should be encouraged.
Talking
to juniors and team and taking them out periodically helps build team grit and
foster a good work relation. It helps when team building and ideating for the
brand or work assigned and also gives your employees to connect with you on a
personal level outside of a work setting.
