Mackwani, Founder- Director, Touching Lives (NGO), Author, Screenwriting Consultant
& Writer, Psychic Healer & Psychologist/Hypnotherapist, Filmmaker
Mackwani: I am Sonia
Mackwani. Although my journey began in my childhood itself, my story seemed like
a continuation of many lives, I lived in the past. With multiple, meta-physical
experiences such as ‘out-of-body’ ‘near -death’ experiences, my life has always
been filled with mystical encounters and ancient indigenous wisdom. I’ve always
felt that I am here to be the energy of love, and thus, way back when I was 20,
I started Touching Lives, an organization that works with slum children and
which has education, empowerment, enlightenment and edu-tainment initiatives
for a child to become an independent learner. My life revolves between
self-work, seva & sadhana. I’ve always felt that it is completely my need
to serve than saying we serve the needy.

Film-making as a director and writer, and perhaps some day will act to, and
initiating my work in composing songs and singing, the royalties, funds of
which, intends to go for the education of children.
Mackwani: My biggest influence
is the life itself and its conspiracy, leading me to believe how the entire
world is connected with each other. That lessons in the universe are endless
and that I am perhaps a part of each one of them.
life, if any?
Mackwani: Challenges! When you
see your dreams getting fulfilled each day in your imagination and yet in
reality, it is about that step-by-step process you have to take, it is about
the complex interplay of time, space, energy, consciousness, communication,
patience, uncertainties, emotions etc. It is about reminding yourself to breathe
your dream with faith each day. It is when you see humans being held back by
their conditioning, by other people, relationships and you know that how each
human can live their lives in better ways than they do now and yet you have to
hold yourself back because it is their journey and they’ve got lessons to
learn. I feel the pain of humanity and I feel powerless sometimes. Such moments
are challenging.
line?
Mackwani: In next 5 years, I
truly see myself as a Film-maker, writing books and venturing into theater
& performances, acting, once again to bring in the resources to grow and
expand Touching Lives and provide excellent support to the children globally
too. I wish to support in fields of education, mental health, cinema, writing
games, spiritual evolution of humanity globally and continuing walking on the
path of seva. And of course, keep the doors of uncertainty and infinite
possibilities open.
Women’s Day’?
Mackwani: Well, the message
would be to begin their journeys on the path of ‘self-work’ and that it is the
great work we have with ourselves first on this planet that shall lead to
contribution in the universe. Keep up the love and value the freedom of oneself
and each other. And yes, the only thing one can get back to, whenever possible
in life, at whatever age is our dreams. So, those who haven’t begun – start,
those who have left ages ago, let go of the age and come continue your journey
with it and those, who are still looking for their dreams, watch the stars
every night and sun-rise every morning -travel – watch the world differently.
You shall find your place. I am sure.
