Milan, March 21, 2024: Broxlab’s first NoCode Academy, the 18-month reskilling program fielded in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, officially starts. The activities target actors in the cultural and creative supply chain[i] be they profit or nonprofit entities, micro, small and medium enterprises, Third Sector entities and individuals, operating in the territory of Central-Southern Italy. The goal is to provide tools for the creation of platforms and applications through “No Code” and “Low Code.” The call aims to select about 50 cultural and creative sector (CCI) operators to be admitted to a reskilling course. For digital skills strengthening, on the other hand, 10 of these will be selected and will be given access to an incubation and acceleration path to realize their digital transition goal together. The project will include a road show that will travel throughout southern Italy, starting on the 21st at the Sunset digital social club in Atella (Pz).
“We are proud to announce the launch of the NoCode Academy, a revolutionary initiative aimed at transforming the landscape of Cultural and Creative Industries (ICC) through digital innovation. This Academy stems from the belief that culture and creativity should be at the forefront of our digital evolution, making NoCode and LowCode technologies accessible to all, regardless of previous technical skills. Through a strategic partnership with international technological players and the use of cutting-edge tools such as Bubble, FlutterFlow, Google AppSheet, and Google Data Studio, the NoCode Academy aims to equip professionals and cultural organizations with the necessary skills to innovate, compete, and thrive in the digital age. Our vision is of a cultural sector invigorated by the adoption of digital technologies, where the barrier between technology and creativity is broken down to foster a new wave of innovative and inclusive cultural projects. The NoCode Academy stands as a bridge to this future, offering top-notch training and support to ICCs to embrace change and drive cultural innovation. At Broxlab, we believe that investing in the digitalization of ICCs is crucial not only for their development but also for contributing to a more informed, inclusive, and connected society. With the launch of the NoCode Academy, we take a concrete step towards realizing this vision,” declared Francesco Perone, President of Broxlab.
“Our NoCode Academy, a training project born in Broxlab and implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, is a pioneering idea for the digital training of cultural and creative operators in Central and Southern Italy. With the NoCode Academy, we aim to democratize access to digital technologies to enhance the cultural and creative heritage of our country. Our goal is to transform the approach to technology in the cultural and creative sector, enhancing skills and generating a positive impact on the territories. In the coming months, we will welcome students from twelve regions of Italy for a 16-month training program, combining digital experiences and physical interactions. Academy participants will be supported by important partners and players. The call for applications is open for two months, with a deadline in mid-May. We invite all interested parties to seize this opportunity by visiting the website,” added Valentino Romaniello, Project Manager of the NoCode Academy at Broxlab.
The activities of the Academy will be carried out through a combination of theoretical insights and practical-laboratory activities. Special attention will be given to active involvement and participatory approaches, both through traditional in-person and remote approaches, as well as interactive workshops, field projects, and case problems, using simulation techniques, gaming, bar camps, and hackathons. Additionally, webinars, on-the-job training, and remote mentoring and consulting activities will be offered.
