an exclusive interview with Startup Terminal; Santosh Kumar Agrawal, Founder
and CEO of Pujabhandar.com shares more insights about his venture and futures
goals.
Santosh Kumar Agrawal, Founder and CEO of Pujabhandar.com |
When did you start your venture Pujabhandar.com? Please briefly explain more
about your venture.
Agrawal: On 4th June 2016, we officially
launched Pujabhandar.com on internet. Pujabhandar.com is a registered e-commerce
company which provides one stop solution for all Puja samagris and services including
arrangement of all essential Puja items and providing pandits at customers’ place
to perform Puja.
Can you explain the basic idea behind starting the venture?
Agrawal: The basic idea to get into this business is to
facilitate the Hindu households living in the urban areas away from their
native places and wants to perform their rituals. But due to fear and
non-availability of authentic puja samagri and pandit, it is almost impossible
to pursue the tradition conveniently. We are trying to address this problem
locally and trying to give them services with the help of technology.
How has been the journey of Pujabhandar.com so far?
Agrawal: The journey of Pujabhandar.com so far is
filled with lots of small but interesting real stories. Fortunately, in a very short
period of time we have made good presence online and been able to create positive
sentiment among people living in urban societies. Our work has been addressed
by HT media in their city newspaper recently and many local publications have also
appreciated our efforts to address such an important subject.
What are your future plans?
Agrawal: My future plan is to make Pujabandar.com a
common name for every Hindu household who wish to continue their tradition be
it in India or Indians living in abroad. In the coming year, we will start giving
our services to Indian diaspora living abroad. We feel that they still want to
get connected with their motherland and pursue all traditional rituals with same
sense of feeling and emotions.
How do you see the future of online e-commerce business post COVID-19
pandemic?
Agrawal: Post COVID-19 pandemic, not only our business in
fact all businesses will face some changes in their operational framework. Every
human being is remembering almighty in this time of hardship and global
pandemic. I think people will be more digitally driven and explore new ways of
living. This will further create plenty of opportunities for online e-commerce players
in this digital era. At Pujabhandar.com, we are helping people to continue their
prayers at their homes via online.
