ST: Please tell us briefly about you.
a Chat Show Host, Trainer, Director, Movie Maker and passionate educationist I
founded one of the largest Indian digital chat shows called ChetChat. This is a
unique chat show providing career guidance and entrepreneur success stories
targeted primarily to the country’s youth. With over a 145 interviews, the
channel has garnered more than 30,000 subscribers and over 1.7 million views.
from XLRI, Jamshedpur and became a corporate banker. I worked with some of India’s largest MNC
banks for the first ten years of my professional career. The birth of my son
saw me take a break from the corporate world.
I then set up and ran a training company for the next 10 years. This
firm trained bankers from more than 10 banks, both within India as well as
overseas.
I draw inspiration from Oprah Winfrey, the way she has fashioned her life
helping others and crusading humanitarian causes despite all she went through.

for all young women and girls illustrating the major ‘women only’ scholarship
opportunities that are available for them around the world. This will lucidly
explain how they can apply for them and take a step towards fulfilling their
dreams.

believe in their strength. They have all the talent and ability within, but
sometimes they look to others for approval. I would like all young women to
love themselves, and take one confident step after another towards their
dreams. The whole world will follow you once you are on the right path.
that we have within us and to trust that power. To rely fully on ourselves and
keep moving in the direction of our dreams without waiting for external
support. True women empowerment is about women providing strength to everyone
around them because that is the real power we have.
women at present in India?
a woman is that we feel equally satisfied with nurturing a family as we do with
building a career. And the challenge lies in trying to balance them. Since we
have both instincts in equal measure we usually feel incomplete if we fulfil
only one of them at the cost of the other. Men on the other hand are
genetically predisposed to prioritising their career over their family goals,
so they don’t generally face this internal conflict.
