After a successful
five years Banking stint, I ventured into Fashion Industry. My first venture
was a Multi designer store in Ahmedabad and post that I took a maternity break
for a year. In 2017 I launched one of its kind online Exhibition gallery PopupGalleria.com
that aims to showcase both established as well as new talented designers every
season. The focus is on curating new designers or curating fresh lines from
existing designers, we help new designers from scratch to showcase their collections on the website and also by
our constant feedback help them on product design and innovation. From customer
perspective focus is to make popupgalleria.com the most user friendly and
innovative medium to browse through a well curated collection from the convenience
of ones home.

Who is a woman that inspires you the most and why?

Ranu: It might sound a cliche but its My
mother who has inspired me the most and continues to do so, her humbleness,
patience and encouragement has helped me grow both personally and professionally.

we started with an all women team, we plan to run week long activities and
workshops at office for self-motivation, Goal setting, team building etc.

Ranu: Be yourself and express yourself
freely, if you want something go all out to get it.

What according to you is ‘women empowerment’?

Ranu:
Women Empowerment is
more than the slogans and definitely should start with a revolution within.
First step would be to feel empowered from within and never feel guilty of
standing up for yourself or chasing your dreams.

What would you say are the main challenges facing women at present in India?

We Struggle to be a
good multitasking expert, balancing work and family and still at times women
need to put in extra efforts to be taken seriously.
