Sriparna: I’m a Delhi born bong with a major in mass
communication from Indian Institute of Mass Communication. When I’m not eating,
shopping, watching Shark Tank, you’ll find me working at ScoopWhoop, which I

ST: Who is a woman that inspires you the most and why?
Sriparna: There’s no one
woman. All the women around me, from my mother to my help to the women I work
with, are fierce, beautiful women, each with so much to offer. I draw immense
inspiration from them.

ST: How are you celebrating this year’s International Women’s Day?
Sriparna: Hanging out
with my girlfriends over drinks. But then again, you don’t need an occasion for

ST: What is the most important message you want to send out to all the
women around the world on this occasion?

Sriparna: Stand up for yourself when someone tells you, you can’t. Stand
up for other women who are told they can’t.

Sriparna: When ‘because you’re a girl’ stops being the answer.
ST: What would you say are the main challenges facing women at present
in India?

ST: Where do you want to see yourself in next 5 years?
Sriparna: Professionally, obviously I would want ScoopWhoop to be an industry
leader, but one thing I definitely want to do in the next few years is to start
an animal rescue shelter. It’s a project very close to my heart and if I can
make a difference to even a handful of animals, it’ll be
worth it.
