Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:
Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for candidates belonging to SC/ ST category and 03 years for candidates belonging to OBC (Non-creamy layer) category respectively with respect to posts reserved for them. Additional relaxation of 10 years in age to Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.
Note: Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories may also apply against the unreserved posts provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria for unreserved category. Reservation for persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates will be on horizontal basis and in line with the guidelines on the subject. OBC candidates belonging to ‘Creamy layer’ are not entitled to OBC concession and such candidates have to indicate their category as General. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS candidates are required to submit the requisite certificate in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority on or after 01/04/2023 and valid at the time of Interview and a self-declaration in the prescribed format as available on Company’s website at the time of Interview. Candidates having a minimum of 40 % permanent disability are eligible to apply as PwBD Candidates. Category (General/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/ EWS/ PwBD) once declared in the application cannot be changed and no benefit of other category will be subsequently admissible.
Qualifying Marks & Discipline Eligibility:
Minimum qualifying marks (in Aggregate) in B.E./B.Tech./ M.Sc./ M.S.c (Tech)/M.Tech as applicable for the post is 60% marks (50% for SCs/STs). Candidates should possess Degree in Engineering/ Technology in the related disciplines of Ceramic/ Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical/ Mining w.r.t BSL, Bokaro & JGOM.
MODE OF SELECTION:
Selection of the provisionally eligible candidates for the posts will be done through Computer Based Test (CBT) & Interview or Interview. The same shall be intimated to the eligible candidates through Admit Card/Call Letter, Email/SMS and SAIL website. If CBT will be done, admit card will be available in SAIL website for downloading. In case of CBT, there will be 150 multiple choice questions in two segments i.e. 50 on Domain / Professional Knowledge & 100 on Aptitude Test. The minimum qualifying marks in CBT shall be 50 percentile score for Unreserved post and 40 percentile score for SCs/ST/OBC(NCL) against the reserved posts. Candidates will be shortlisted for interview in order of merit, at the ratio of 1:3 for each post/discipline. If the cut-off marks so arrived are obtained by more than one candidate, all of them will be called for interview. There will be no qualifying mark in the interview in case of CBT. For final selection, merit list will be drawn by combining the marks of CBT and Interview with the weightage of 80:20 respectively. In case, there is a tie in the cut-off marks, the candidate with higher marks in the eligibility qualification will be selected. If selection will be through interview only, the minimum qualifying marks will be 50% for unreserved posts and 40% for posts reserved for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD.

Scale of Pay- ₹80000-3%-₹2,20,000/- Approximately ₹24.4 Lakh per annum (excluding PRP, location based allowances etc.)
Deputy Manager (E-2)
Scale of Pay- ₹70000-3%-₹2,00,000/- Approximately ₹21.8 Lakh per annum (excluding PRP, location based allowances etc.)
Please note: The emoluments will include basic pay, industrial dearness allowance, perquisites and other facilities such as medical facility for self and family, provident fund, gratuity etc., as per rules of the company. In addition, House Rent Allowance will be paid only where company accommodation is not available. Special Benefits for the executives to be posted at Mines of JGOM.

- The applicant is required to fill his/ her required information and upload the Photograph & Signature and also the required certificate(s)/document(s) as mentioned below.
- Once all the required details are entered, the candidate is required to review the details entered and Confirm. Once confirmed, no editing will be allowed.
- Make requisite payment of Application and/or Processing Fee through online mode. The link for payment will be available after application is completed. Candidate will have to bear charges in addition to Application /processing fee.
- Candidates should retain the copy of E-receipt of Application and/or Processing Fee as they can be asked to produce it for future reference.
- Submit the application after completion of all requisite steps and take a Print out of the application having Application ID.
- Candidature of a registered candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment process or even on joining, if any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or not in conformity with the eligibility criteria at any stage or if candidate fails to produce valid documentary proof in support of his eligibility.
