Name: Geetha Prabhu
Age: 41 yrs
City: Bangalore, India
Occupation: Entrepreneur, Founder & COO of Workflexi

ST: Please tell us briefly about you.
Geetha: I come with 17 years of experience in market research
& 3 years as an entrepreneur. I am a proud mother, wife and daughter.
ST: Who is a woman that inspires you the most and why?
Geetha: My mother is a huge inspiration in my life. She is
someone who would support me into anything I wanted to venture into.
ST: How are you celebrating this year’s International
Women’s Day?
Geetha: We are three women in our
Workflexi team. All of us are self-motivated and high spirited individuals. We
celebrate the work we do.

ST: What is the most important message you want to
send out to all the women around the world on this occasion?
Geetha: Follow your heart, follow your
dreams, sky is the limit.
ST: What according to you is ‘women empowerment’?
Geetha: Women are already empowered, we
just need to spread our wings and start to fly. There is a lot of fear and
social boundaries, we just need to break them.
ST: What would you say are the main challenges facing
women at present in India?
Geetha: Over the last decade or so the
mindset has been changing. Women in India or anywhere in the country have been
voicing out, which is a great thing. I would not want to particularly point out
challenges. Instead, I would say, there is an evolution in the mindset of
people which will bring a change very soon.
ST: Where do you want to see yourself in next 5 years?
Geetha: Personally, I would like to see myself changing the
dynamics of how people live their lives. For me, change is an important aspect
and that’s the only constant.
